# Intents

Intents refer to users' queries or intention that they ask for when interacting with the chatbot.

### Add Intent

### **Intent List**

A collection or inventory of all the defined intents that you create either in train to bot or Intent. It allows for editing, copying and deletion of intent.

### **Edit Intent**

This helps **improve coverage** by adding new variations to the existing intent or making modifications to the 'reply' type, say from '**Journey**' to '**text**'.

**Initial Stage:** Chatman has an intent called "Flight Inquiry" that provides users with basic text-based information about available flights whenever they ask about flights to different destinations.

With time you realize/ receive feedback that users want a more interactive and visually engaging experience, especially when inquiring about flights to different destinations.

### **Search Intent/Utterance**

Search intent/Utterance means looking for a specific intent or set of intents within the intent list. Simply, type in the search or utterance in the search bar and the pertinent result will be displayed.
