This guide explores the various attributes available to help you understand user behavior and interactions within the system. These attributes fall into three categories:

What are User Attributes?

User attributes allow you to track visitor interactions and campaign successes, providing valuable insights for analysis.

Key Points:

  • Function:

    • Mark task completion within a conversational flow.

    • Gain detailed visitor interaction data with Frontman.

    • Send campaign success details to designated teams (real-time).

  • Setup User Attribute Card:

    • Placement: Beginning, middle, or end of the conversation flow.

    • Trigger: When a visitor completes all designated tasks.

How to set Attributes in Story Builder?

You can do it in various card but for example we'll take "User Input" Card-

  1. Attribute Name:

    • Select a pre-defined attribute or create a new one.

  2. Set Value:

    • Define a specific value to be saved upon triggering the card.

    • Use "none" to clear a saved value.

    • Add multiple attributes using the "+" button.

Available System Attributes:

The table displays a range of system-generated attributes by default. These attributes provide valuable insights into user behavior and system interactions. Here's a breakdown of each system attribute:

  • user_id: Unique identifier assigned to each user within the system.

  • fbclid, gclid, ip_address: Data points related to user acquisition channels (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads).

  • Passport, mobile, email: User contact information.

  • sys_date, sys_time: Date and time the data point was captured by the system.

  • avg_session, avg_sessions_duration: Average session length and number of sessions per user.

  • engaged: Flag indicating user engagement status.

  • last_name, subscribed_email, first_name: User demographic information.

  • current_page_url: URL of the last page visited by the user.

  • city, region, country: User location data.

  • total_visits, total_sessions: Overall number of visits and user sessions.

  • device_type, device_info: Type of device used by the user and additional device information.

  • last_seen, first_seen: Date and time of the user's most recent and first interaction with the system.

  • utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content: Data points associated with user acquisition campaigns.

  • last_visited_block_name: Name of the last block or section visited by the user.

  • last_freeform_input, last_button_clicked: User interaction data - last freeform input and clicked button.

  • locale: User's preferred language setting.

  • user_type: User classification within the system (e.g., registered user, guest).

E-commerce Integration Attributes:

These additional attributes may be displayed for users with connected e-commerce platforms:

  • Shopify Integration:

    • shopify_shipment_status

    • shopify_email_or_phone

    • shopify_order_number

    • shopify_order_id

  • Shiprocket Integration:

    • shiprocket_tracking_id
