Walkthrough of Connecting Pipedrive CRM and Frontman

  • Create an account using https://app.pipedrive.com/auth/login or just sign into your account if you already have one. Also, don't forget to verify your email before moving forward.

  • Once you are signed in successfully you have to make a developer account using sandbox as you have to create an app.

  • Than signup for a sandbox account and create a "Private app". Once the app is created and access is provided, get the "Client ID" and "Client Secret code" and paste it into Frontman Pipedrive settings.

  • After connecting, set fields in the "Pipedrive CRM Block" you dragged in the story builder and run the chatbot.

  • Submitted entries will appear in Pipedrive CRM's "Contacts" section.

A. How to create a app in Pipedrive

  1. Go to https://app.pipedrive.com/auth/login and signup for a new account and finish up onboarding.

  2. Once you are signed in successfully you have to make a developer account using sandbox and for that go to the "Marketplace apps" in Tools and apps tab in your salesforce CRM.

3. After click on "Create your own app" you will be redirected to creating a sandbox account where you have to signup to create an app.

4. Using Sanbox you have to create a private app. In Basic information you have to add your "App Name" and "redirect URL" which you can find in Frontman Pipedrive plugin settings.

  1. In OAuth & access scopes section you have to turn on full access permission of "Contacts" and "Leads". Scrolling down you'll find "Client Id" and "Secret code" which you can copy to use later in frontman.

B. How to Integrate Pipedrive CRM in Frontman

  1. Sign in into your Pipedrive account at

  1. Retrieve Credentials: Begin by logging into your Pipedrive account at https://app.pipedrive.com/auth/login.

  2. Navigate to the developer hub, select your app, and locate the "Client ID" and "Client Secret" within the OAuth & access scopes section.

  1. Establish Connection

Once you've dragged the Pipedrive CRM plugin for Frontman, access the "Connect" option. Here, you'll be prompted to enter your Pipedrive CRM Base URL and API Key. Providing these credentials establishes the connection between the two platforms. After successful connection, you can review or modify these settings using the "View Settings" button.

  1. Select fields:

  • Manually Add Fields: Select the specific Pipedrive CRM data fields you want to synchronize with Frontman (e.g., Email(Required), Phone No., Name, custom fields).

  • Leverage User Attributes: You can also Utilize existing user attributes within Frontman to pre-populate Pipedrive CRM fields, streamlining data collection.

5. Once the connection and field selection are complete, run your chatbot as usual. Data collected through Frontman interactions will be automatically synced with your designated Pipedrive CRM fields, keeping your CRM data up-to-date. You can view it in "Contacts" section of your CRM.
