This guide walks you through the process of integrating Frontman with your existing website.

How to Install Frontman on your Website

By following these steps, you'll be able to add chatbot functionality that caters to your user base -

1. Website Domain URL:

  • Action: Define your registered website domain URL. This is where Frontman will be displayed.

  • Note: Frontman requires a valid domain for functionality.

2. Display Settings:

  • Default Behavior: Frontman appears on both desktop and mobile devices by default.

  • Customization Option: You can choose to display Frontman only on desktops or mobiles by modifying the settings.

3. Start Screen Settings:

  • Default Start Screen: Frontman opens with a home screen by default.

  • Customization Option: You can prioritize the chat screen as the starting point instead of the home screen.

4. Widget Code Integration:

  • Copy the Code: Locate and copy the provided Frontman widget code snippet.

  • Embed in Website: Paste the copied code snippet into your website's HTML code, preferably before the closing body tag (</body>) on all relevant pages.

  • Placement: Ideally, place the code snippet before the closing body tag to ensure proper functionality.

  • Supported Languages: The code snippet supports both HTML and Google Tag Manager (GTM) integration.

Troubleshooting (Optional):

  • Cache Issues: If the chatbox doesn't appear, try clearing your website's cache.

  • Support Team: For further assistance, reach out to the Makerobos support team.

Custom User Attributes (Optional):

  • Enhancing Personalization: Send user data (e.g., name, email, mobile) through custom attributes to Frontman. This allows you to personalize conversational flows, target specific user segments, and track logged-in users.

  1. Integration Options:

  • Adding New Attributes: Define the data points you want to include in the script.

  • Attribute Selection: Choose the specific attributes (e.g., first name, email) you want to transmit.

6. Verification Status:

  • Automatic Verification: Once the code is successfully added to your website, the verification status will automatically change to "Verified" with a green checkmark.
